Communion Bread Recipe
We share a common loaf for communion that is gluten free, nut free, soy free, and vegan (but the mix sometimes comes made with honey). We don’t like keeping good things a secret, so the recipe and mix are linked below!
We make a batch for every 100 people or so, and try to serve it fairly fresh (we usually bake it the night before). It admittedly does not freeze particularly well, turning incredibly crumbly when thawed, which makes it hard to use for intinction. The recipe comes from Union Presbyterian Seminary and Ginter Park Presbyterian Church in Richmond, Virginia, where our Program Director attended seminary and church before eventually moving to Massanetta Springs.
