Massanetta On the Radio!
In September, Massanetta Springs Executive Director, Rev. Clayton Rascoe sat down for an interview with WMRA’s Chris Boros about Massanetta Springs and the Building A Place For All Campaign. You can listen to the full extended interview here. We want to thank WMRA, Chris Boros, and one of our own Campbell Wood, a JMU Student and former Advocate for Middle School Conference, who reached out for the interview, and produced it for the radio station.
If you watched the video, produced in May of 2024, keep reading to see the new total raised! We’re getting CLOSE! Join the generosity movement for Massanetta Springs today, and help us reach our goal to make Massanetta Springs truly a place for all people.
“There’s just something about this place.” I hear some version of this again and again from people of all ages who visit Massanetta Springs. The lines between heaven and earth get really thin here. What a gift Massanetta is, especially now.
Massanetta is a gift, and I can’t help thinking that when you give a gift, it always says something to those receiving it. The Massanetta gift does not always say what it needs to. Right now, our facilities unintentionally say those with mobility challenges are less welcome. In this post pandemic era, our rooms say privacy isn’t as important as most guests would like it to be. Many of our facilities practically shout of an era when expectations for lodging were different, and that we have not yet changed to meet people where they are now.
The board of trustees and I are thrilled to announce the Building a Place for All Campaign to help the Massanetta gift say what it should to all of our guests. If you’re reading this, I hope you’ll click the “Learn More” button, watch the campaign video, and be as excited as we are to join in transforming Massanetta’s ministry. As of September 20, 2024 we have raised over $3.85M in gifts and pledges putting us just over 85% of the way to our goal of $4.5M!
In Christ,
Rev. Clayton Rascoe
